When I saw that they were covering this growth-industry, I thought that it would be interesting. This, along with home dog-boarding has been one of the fastest growing industries in the dog-world in recent years and not all of these establishments are well-run, with the dogs best interests at heart. I have had clients whose dogs have been bitten at dog day care due to poor supervision and others who have been injured due to too much rough play. The programme had a couple in the studio who had been running a dog day care establishment and then gave them virtually no input to the programme at all, which was a great shame.
Like many other aspects of this programme, including the question and answer session, it was skirted-over and not given nearly enough time. Of course, there was very little by the way of balanced view points on this or indeed any of the subjects covered by this disappointing programme and that has been the over-riding view of other people including professionals and every-day dog people, who I have spoken to.
