BE MORE DOG

I guess many of you have seen the Be More Dog adverts being run on TV by O2. Very funny they are too. To those of you who haven’t, you can also see them on YouTube.

Basically, they involve a ginger cat who decides that life is much more exciting as a dog. Not really sure what they have to do with telephone service provision, but then we are talking about it, so the ad works doesn’t it?

Bearing in mind the story of Monty above, the rescue dog who was bombarded with love and affection by his foster owners and then repaid them with a nasty bite, I did think it was a very apt phrase to reiterate the correct way for us humans to interact with our dogs.

Too many owners treat their dogs like children and acquire problem behavioural traits as a consequence, whereas if they treat them more like dogs, these problems do not occur nearly as much. So the phrase Be More Dog could not be more appropriate in my line of work and in fact, for anyone who owns a dog of any breed.
