ROSIE – BOXER

PROBLEM – AGGRESSION TO OTHER DOGS.

Sam had become extremely anxious whilst walking
Rosie, due to her unpredictable nature
ROSIE around other dogs.
She would become
aggressive and had previously pinned other dogs to the floor.

On one occasion
she had attacked another dog at the beach and wouldn’t let go. Sam’s partner
literally had to pick both dogs up and throw them into the sea to separate
them!

On another occasion, Rosie had pulled over their 11 year old daughter in
her attempts to get at another dog.

Sam was given a full
action plan to deal with the issues and Rosie went through the usual
socialization with my Rottweilers Robynne, Callum and Tara without any
problems.

A further session in a busy dog walking area was conducted without
problem and Sam was shown how to work on Rosie’s recall, which was excellent by
the end of the session.

As with many problem dogs, one of the main issues is
the lack of confidence of the owner. Sam’s confidence is now building as she
witnesses her dog behaving normally in the presence of other dogs. There is
plenty of work to do, but things are looking very positive now.
